Terms of use

This is an English translation provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding.

These terms apply to anyone who browses Minivan Vintage (minivanvintage.fr) or publishes a listing on it. Using the site means you accept these terms.

1. The service

Minivan Vintage (minivanvintage.fr) lets you publish and browse listings of vehicles, parts and equipment. FPH acts as the host of the listings: it sells nothing itself, holds no goods, collects no payment on behalf of sellers and takes no part in transactions, which are concluded directly between the parties. The ranking of listings and our remuneration are described on the How the site works page.

2. Account

Publishing a listing requires an account, created with a valid e-mail address. You sign in with a one-time code sent by e-mail, or with a Google account. You must be 18 or over and have legal capacity to contract. An account is personal. You are responsible for the use of your account and for the information you provide, which must be accurate. You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time through the contact form; your online listings are then removed.

3. Listings

  • The advertiser must own the item or be duly authorised to sell it, and the item must actually be available.
  • The listing describes the item honestly: real photos of the item offered, the real price, known defects disclosed.
  • A listing covers one item only. It may not be reused for another item: the category and model cannot be changed after publication.
  • The following are prohibited: stolen or counterfeit goods, or goods whose sale is illegal; misleading listings or listings with no real item; contact details, links or payment requests placed in the text or photos; any unlawful or abusive content, or content that infringes the rights of others.

4. Professional sellers

Anyone who sells in the course of their business must declare themselves a “Professional” in their profile and provide their company name, SIRET number and address, which are displayed on their listings. Falsely presenting oneself as a private seller is a misleading commercial practice. Professional sellers comply with their obligations towards buyers: full pre-contractual information, legal guarantee of conformity and against hidden defects, and the mandatory information specific to their sector (used vehicles, real estate). We check that the SIRET number exists and is active in the official French company register; we may ask for additional supporting documents and refuse or suspend a professional account whose information is inaccurate.

5. Writing assistance

Quick posting offers to pre-fill your listing details and description from your photos and your words, using an artificial intelligence tool. This tool can make mistakes or infer inaccurate information. You review, correct and confirm every piece of information before publication: the listing remains written under your sole responsibility.

6. Your texts and photos

You warrant that you hold the rights to the photos and texts you publish. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host them, display them, adapt them technically (cropping, formats), analyse them for verification, and index them with search engines, for the duration of the listing and then, for sold or expired listings, in anonymised form for the purpose of providing price information. You may ask for a sold listing to be removed at any time.

7. Verification, moderation and complaints

Every listing is analysed before publication by an automated tool (including an artificial intelligence service) that looks for prohibited content and signs of fraud. A listing deemed normal is published immediately. Any other listing is reviewed by a person, who alone is entitled to refuse, suspend or remove a listing or an account. Messages may be analysed in the same way. Any negative decision is notified to you by e-mail with its reasons, the clause concerned and the means of redress. You may challenge it free of charge within six months through the contact form; a person re-examines your case and replies to you. You retain the right to bring the matter before the competent court, and to contact Arcom, France’s Digital Services Coordinator (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). In the event of repeated breaches or manifestly fraudulent listings, the account may be suspended after a warning, or immediately in the event of fraud.

8. Messages between users

Buyers contact sellers through a form: the seller’s e-mail address is not displayed; the seller receives the buyer’s name, e-mail address, optional telephone number and message. Messages may be analysed automatically in order to detect fraud attempts. The messaging system must not be used for canvassing, harassment, or attempts to obtain payments or personal data.

9. Caution and fraud prevention

Users undertake to follow the advice on the Buying and selling safely page. In particular: never pay a deposit before seeing the item, check the registration certificate (carte grise) and the HistoVec report, and be wary of requests for transfers abroad, money orders, payment vouchers or codes received by text message. FPH never asks for payment by message or for a confirmation code. Serious offences are reported to the competent authorities.

10. Liability

FPH takes reasonable steps to detect and remove fraudulent listings, but cannot guarantee the accuracy of listings, the solvency or good faith of users, or that sales take place. It cannot be held liable for transactions concluded between users, except where it is at fault in providing the service.

11. Personal data

See the Privacy page.

12. Changes to the terms, duration and governing law

We may change these terms. Users with an account are notified by e-mail at least fifteen days before the changes take effect (except for changes required by law or necessary for security, which apply immediately). Changes do not apply to listings already paid for. If you refuse them, you may close your account before they take effect. We may close a professional account with thirty days’ notice stating the reasons, except in the event of fraud or a legal obligation. These terms are governed by French law; if you live in another European Union country, you retain the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
